1. Nature of Collector's Arch Reports
Collector's Arch produces independent career trajectory reports on emerging artists for informational and educational purposes only. All reports, ratings, assessments, and analytical outputs published by Collector's Arch are editorial in nature. They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, valuation services, certified artwork appraisals, or recommendations to buy or sell any artwork or asset.
Nothing on this website or in any report produced by Collector's Arch should be relied upon as the basis for an acquisition decision without independent professional advice. Collectors are responsible for their own research and acquisition decisions.
2. Independence and Conflicts of Interest
Collector's Arch holds no financial interest in any artist, gallery, auction house, institution, or publication referenced in any report, and no affiliation with any gallery, museum, auction house, art fair, financial institution, or advisory platform.
Collector's Arch does not own, buy, sell, or trade works by any artist covered in a report, and receives no commission or payment from galleries, artists, auction houses, or any third party in connection with a report. Artist submissions, gallery commissions, and sponsored coverage requests are not accepted. No artist, gallery, or institution can pay to be assessed, featured, or favourably represented.
Reports are initiated by the collector and argued on the basis of the public record alone. They reflect independent editorial judgment and nothing else.
3. Not a Regulated Service
Collector's Arch is not a regulated financial adviser, investment firm, auction house, gallery, or valuation service. The Collector's Arch Rating system is an independent editorial classification developed for informational purposes. It is not a regulated financial instrument, a credit rating in the legal sense, or a guarantee of any market outcome.
The use of terms such as rating, classification, and risk level reflects editorial judgment only. These terms carry no legal or regulatory standing.
4. Art as a High-Risk Asset Class
Art is a subjective, illiquid, opaque, and high-risk asset class, particularly at the emerging level. The value of artworks can fall as well as rise. Past career trajectory, institutional standing, or market activity of any artist does not guarantee future market performance. A report produced by Collector's Arch does not predict, promise, or imply any artistic or financial outcome.
5. Accuracy and Currency of Information
Collector's Arch takes reasonable care to verify facts from publicly available sources at the time of writing. No warranty is given that any report is complete, accurate, or free from error. All reports are considered current only as of the publication date stated in the report. The Analytical Shelf Life clause contained in each report defines the conditions under which a report should be considered expired.
Collector's Arch accepts no responsibility for changes to an artist's career, market position, gallery representation, or any other circumstance occurring after the publication date of a report. Where a factual error is identified in a published report, it is corrected and the correction is noted; see Methodology for details.
6. Proprietary Methodology
The analytical framework and editorial criteria used in Collector's Arch reports are proprietary. They reflect editorial judgment developed by Collector's Arch and do not represent an industry standard, a universally accepted methodology, or a regulated assessment process. The methodology may be revised at any time without notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Collector's Arch accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or expense — direct or indirect — arising from reliance on any report, rating, assessment, or other content produced by Collector's Arch. This includes but is not limited to financial loss arising from an acquisition decision, loss of opportunity, or reputational damage.
8. Third-Party Information
Reports may reference publicly available information from third-party sources including galleries, auction records, publications, and social media platforms. Collector's Arch is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of third-party information and gives no warranty in respect of it.
9. Governing Law
This disclaimer and all reports produced by Collector's Arch are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with this disclaimer or any report shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
